Willingness to Communicate in an ESP Class: A Qualitative Study

This study aims to investigate how the students are willing communicate in an ESP class. in-depth employed students’ TOEIC scores as a reference select subjects of study. An interview was used main research procedure together with primary data. The in‐depth allowed us develop deeply into social and personal matters that have experienced communicating English. For sake effective interview, set questions related WTC prepared prior implementation interview. found willingness L2 is not solely due proficiency. Yet, other factors such interlocutors, classroom activities, topics, tasks, contracts, teaching media also influence ’WTC classrooms. It expected this can provide recommendations order improve communication. conducted at State Polytechnic based Malang, Indonesia.
